Aimée van Drimmelen is a self-taught artist and illustrator based until recently in Montréal, Canada. She has been spending this winter with her partner in a cabin in Saskatchewan (the prairie province due north of Montana), where she works on art and illustration by day, and music by night. Aimée is known for her sinuous, elegant ink and watercolour drawings. Also gaining attention are her “illustrated drumskins,” of which she has scavenged and exhibited over 50 since 2007. Her work has been published in the US and Canada, and exhibited in Montréal and New York. She also founded and runs the popular Drink & Draw Montreal drawing blog.
