HoboEye Music:
Ben Adkins, St. Louis, Missouri
Ben Adkins is a happy guy. The 2004 release of his first solo album, “The Places You’ll Go”, landed him in a place where he could do something that he has always wanted to do: Play any kind of music that he wanted.
Ben began his music career by fronting a regionally successful alternative rock act in the southern part of the United States. After two albums and opening for several national acts, Ben’s band went their separate ways and Ben was left alone to his own devices. Ben then set out to write a diverse record which blended his rock-savvy voice with his love for pop music. After moving to St. Louis, MO and spending the better part of a year in the studio, Ben emerged with “The Places You’ll Go”, which he released to much fan and critic acclaim in 2004.
The solo album was an exciting and empowering project for Ben, but after promoting the album for two years, Ben found himself ready to give the rock scene another try. Ben is currently recording a new album with his brand new band, One Second Hero. The album, tentatively titled “Faith, Hope, and Love’s Pure Light”, is slated for release in the summer of 2008 and promises to be a record that both rock and pop music fans will be able to grab on to.
